The winemaking tradition of the Grier family began in the 1970′s with cousins Jeff and Simon Grier qualifying as oenologist and viticulturist respectively. Their pursuit of winemaking excellence found a home in 1983 with the purchase of the Villiera vineyards in the Stellenbosch Region. Today, award-winning winemaker Jeff Grier crafts a range of wines characterized by a strong reflection of Villiera’s unique terroir, maintaining the distinct aromas and flavours of the different varietals.
