The 2023 vintage reveals a subtle transition from vibrant red to darker black fruit. The wine maintains its purity and freshness, while delivering rich, deep and concentrated berry flavours that generously fill and coat the palate during tasting. The initial upfront dark fruit carries through onto a savoury palate, revealing layered red fruit with integrated oak s pice and dark chocolate. The wine is full and generous, yet beautifully balanced by its purity and naturally fresh backbone. The tannins a re rounded, leaving a silk y, lingering finish that remains gentle and satisfying.

Originally known as ‘Bellinchamp’ (pretty fields), Bellingham begins its story in 1693 when Hollander Gerrit Janz van Vuuren and his French Huguenot wife planted the first 1000 vines on the estate.
The new century saw a shift in the Bellingham portfolio and The Maverick range of wines was launched in 2002 – a challenge to convention and custom.
