“450 YEARS OF HISTORY IN SPARKLING WINE”

Codorníu is the history of the oldest winery in Spain, dating back to its origins until 1551. It is the story of 18 generations of the same family of winemakers and winemakers, their convictions, their creative and innovative capacity and their effort. to improve day by day.

Motivated by his passion for the land and its fruits, in 1872, Josep Raventós Fatjó made the first bottle of sparkling wine by applying the traditional method to the combination of traditional Penedès varieties.

Since that first innovation, Codorníu has developed a complete range of cavas in its emblematic winery in Sant Sadurní d’Anoia, built by Gaudí’s disciple, Josep Puig i Cadafalch, considered the Cava Cathedral.
