Can Hot Toddy cure Coronavirus?

Source: Daily Mail

It was reported in early Feb that the first Briton to contract coronavirus in Wuhan claims he refused antibiotics and shook off the deadly infection with a HOT TODDY of whisky and honey.

There isn’t any follow up on the subject but we certainly won’t deny that a Hot Toddy on a cold winter’s day in your hands, blanket wrapped around you and watching the latest Netflix isn’t a bad way to spend an evening.

We’re sharing this from Wine Enthusiast:

Ingredients

  • 1½ ounce brown liquor such as brandy, whiskey or rum
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • ½ ounce lemon juice
  • 1 cup hot water
  • Lemon wedge, cinnamon stick and star anise, for garnish (optional)

Directions

Combined the first four ingredients into the bottom of a warmed mug. If desired, garnish with the lemon, cinnamon stick or star anise.

We recommend our fav Irish tipple – Pogues Whiskey.
