WEEKLY WINE-DOWN with Kyle

Step off the beaten path and into the rugged beauty of South Africa’s Bot River. Join Wine N Things and our recently appointed new Wine Ambassador, resident winemaker and educator, Kyle Oosterberg, for an immersive evening discovering Gabriëlskloof. This family-owned estate is highly celebrated for its minimal-intervention winemaking and deep respect for the land. Together, we will taste our way through six exceptional bottles that perfectly capture the wild, wind-swept spirit and ancient shale soils of this unique region.

This relaxed masterclass explores the brilliant tension between old-school traditions and innovative modern winemaking. Led by Kyle’s dual perspective as both a creator and an educator, we will look closely at how the estate uses clay amphorae to craft pure fruit expressions, pushes the boundaries with whole-bunch fermentation, and coaxes deep complexity out of classic varieties. Expect generous pours, lively conversation, and zero snobbery—just a great room, passionate wine lovers, and a stellar lineup.
