Forget everything you think you know about Chardonnay! Join Wine N Things for an evening of discovery, great pours, and zero pretension. Hosted by winemaker and educator Kyle Oosterberg, we’re kicking off 2026 with a “tasting tour” across the Southern Hemisphere’s Big Three: Australia, New Zealand, and South Africa.

This is a friendly battle of terroir and technique. We’ll be tasting six world-class wines side-by-side to see how one single grape can tell six completely different stories. It’s an immersive look at how geography and craftsmanship shape what ends up in your glass.

The Lineup: 3 Countries, 6 Stories

Australia: Power meets Precision

• Wine 1 – Margaret River: Xanadu Estate Chardonnay 2023 – Bold, iconic, and full of sunshine.
• Wine 2 – Yarra Valley: Yering Station Estate Chardonnay 2023 – Elegant, crisp, and perfectly balanced.

New Zealand: Energy meets Purity

• Wine 3 – North Island: Kumeu River Chardonnay 2024 – Vibrant, electric, and world-renowned.
• Wine 4 – South Island: Hans Herzog Estate Chardonnay 2021 – Pristine, silky, and beautifully refined.

South Africa: Heritage meets Horizon

• Wine 5 – Coastal: Klein Constantia Chardonnay 2021 – Slightly aged, expressive with salty sea-breeze vibes.
• Wine 6 – Inland: Beeslaar Chardonnay 2023 – Rich, soulful, and deeply expressive.

• Date: Wednesday, March 4th OR Thursday, March 5th (Pick the night that suits you!)
• Time: 7 PM – 9 PM
• Location: Wine N Things Tasting Gallery – Unit A1 & A2, 2/F, Block A, Vita Tower, 29 Wong Chuk Hang Rd, Aberdeen. (5-min walk from Wong Chuk Hang MTR Exit A1)
• Price: HK$480 p/p — Includes all 6 premium wines (lite bites of cheese and charcuterie included).

We’ve stripped away the “stuffiness” and pretentiousness often found in formal classes. This is a chance for like-minded people to come together for great wine and even better company.
