Xanadu DJL Chardonnay 2016 Margaret River, Australia
The bouquet of this elegant yet powerful Chardonnay offers fresh pears, nectarine, and citrus fruits with underlying hints of nougat, beeswax and Frangipani flowers. The palate is medium-full bodied and tightly coiled, displaying pears, white fleshed stone fruits and zesty lemony/grapefruit flavours. The wine offers a fine boned quartz-like structure complimented by a creamy/marshmallow texture derived from lees stirring. Taut, yet opulent, the intense fruit and bright acidity combine to focus the wine perfectly to a crisp, lingering fruit finish.

XANADU WINES – Margaret River
Established in 1977, Xanadu was one of the pioneering vineyards in Margaret River. In 2005 the Rathbone Family took over Xanadu, revolutionising the vineyard and the cellar to produce wines that show true regional personality. Having built a strong reputation for Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay, Xanadu is once again a leading light as one of Margaret River’s benchmark wineries.
