A blend of Malbec grown at Te Arai, Syrah grown at Opou and Viognier grown at Riverpoint. There is dark leather and black pepper with a tingling aroma of lifted spice, eucalyptic character, unique to this wine and its own natural surroundings. The taste is lifted and alive with mint, chocolate, Asian spice, and warmth of feather pillow for a fatigued head. Not too dense. Unfined and bottled on the property, without filtration..

“Grown not made” is the philosophy that duo James and Annie Millton follow to ensure their wines portray a sincere expression of Gisborne terroir. Considered pioneers in biodynamic wine, Millton Vineyards have been crafting wine using low-impact techniques since their very beginnings in 1984. They were one of the first to achieve Demeter certification, guaranteeing the highest standard of biodynamic agriculture and horticulture. To further solidify this commitment, in June 2012, James Milton was named a Member of the New Zealand Order of Merit as recognition for his services to the New Zealand wine industry.
