Stonier Reserve Pinot Noir 2014
Mornington Peninsula, Australia

Attractive complex briary nose with hints of oak char and earthy florals. An intriguing palate, with flavours in the darker fruits spectrum, with savoury olive tapenade and blood orange lift. The tannins are quite gripping, reflective of the small berry size of the vintage, with a firm savoury structure led by a strong core of fruit, with just enough sweetness in an ever expanding palate.

Winery Profile

STONIER – Mornington Penninsula

Stonier Wines was established at Merricks, on the cool southern edge of Victoria’s picturesque Mornington Peninsula, in 1978. One of the first wineries in the region, Stonier first planted Chardonnay vines in 1978, followed by Pinot Noir in 1982. By 1988 the vineyard had expanded to 6 hectares, with Pinot Noir and Chardonnay the core focus for the winery. These two varieties are what Stonier, and the Mornington Peninsula, has built its reputation on.
