Tohu Mugwi Reserve Sauvignon Blanc 2009

Marlborough, New Zealand

This wine has a pale golden hue with some bright green notes underlying. On the nose there are gooseberries, boxwood and lantana with a noticeably funky and mineral element that gives interest and appeal beyond pure fruit characters. A touch of older oak comes through a little on the nose but is more evident in the structured, textured palate. Complex and Bone dry the wine has considerable body and a distinct oiliness and mouth filling richness with a steely mineral finish.
