Te Awa Syrah 2009

Gimblett Gravels, Hawkes Bay, New Zealand

A very typical Syrah nose of black berry fruits and cinnamon quill spice. Savoury notes such as miso, beef stock and freshly filed steel give this wine an extra dimension. The palate is medium bodied. The tannins are supple and remain un-modified, in their naturally extracted state. Expect a richness of flavor, an economy of flamboyance and the satisfaction of natural balance.
